Is it possible to create new Account Codes "on the run" or do I need to set it as unassigned and create new code later?

I am trying to figure out whether this accounting software is suitable for my legal practice. One of the things necessary is a n Audit Log/Trail. Does anyone know if this software has one or how to create the account so it does this?

Tax codes on purchases

Hi, I'm trying to add in my purchases over the last year. My question is what tax code do I need to set up for purchases where I have paid GST? like entertainment? also, do I need a separate tax code for overseas purchases where I did not pay GST or can I use the GST not applicable code?
